01 – Contactless Payment Ring Project from the United Arab Emirates

A wearable payment technology company from the United Arab Emirates was developing a luxury contactless payment ring for hotels, private clubs, and premium membership programs. The product needed to integrate an NFC payment module, secure element, antenna structure, indicator circuit, and rechargeable power source inside a very small ring-shaped housing. Because the ring was designed with a ceramic outer shell and a curved internal cavity, a standard flat battery could not be installed without increasing the ring thickness.

The customer contacted LithoTop because they needed a miniature curved lithium battery that could match the inner arc of the ring while maintaining stable voltage output for low-power control and authentication functions. The key challenge was not only capacity, but also mechanical fit, cable direction, insulation safety, and charging compatibility within the compact ring structure.

LithoTop reviewed the customer’s ring layout, NFC module position, battery cavity radius, charging method, standby current, activation cycle, and assembly process. 02 – Livestock Health Monitoring Ear Tag Project from New Zealand

A New Zealand agricultural technology company was developing a smart livestock ear tag for animal health monitoring. The device needed to record movement behavior, body activity trends, and periodic temperature-related data while sending short wireless updates to a nearby gateway. The product had to be lightweight and slightly curved so it could fit more naturally against the animal’s ear without creating discomfort.

The customer’s previous prototype used a small flat lithium battery, but the battery created a rigid area inside the tag housing. During field testing, this affected the product’s wearing comfort and increased the risk of mechanical stress around the battery area.
